DESIGN/ BUILD SERVICES

SSDBUILD offers complete residential DESIGN/BUILD services for clients in North East Missouri wishing to build a new home or renovate an existing one. From conceptual design through move in day, our courteous and hard working staff will make your project enjoyable and rewarding. 

DESIGN/ BUILD APPROACH

1. First Meeting  Each project starts by sitting down and getting to know you and your family (future or existing), your dreams,  your programmatic needs, and also your wants. We'll discuss your personal architectural taste and energy efficiency goals to perfect the build to meet all your goals.
2. Site Acquisition  We're more than happy to help you find the perfect property or lot for your new home. We can show you what makes a property suitable for a green home. For example, a property where the back of the home can face south is ideal for homes designed to take advantage of solar gain (heat) in the winter. Other factors include soil type, available shade from trees, and water availability.
3. Schematic Design and Design Development  With the information from our first meeting and using your needs, we'll begin  developing a floor plan and a computer 3-D Model to show you how your design will look. We'll touch base with you as often as needed to discuss the floor plan and model and adjust the plans as you provide us feedback, until it's just right!
4. Preliminary Estimate Using the plans and 3-D model we can provide you with preliminary estimate of what your project will roughly cost. This insures that we can try to stick closely to the desired construction budget.
5. Construction Drawings and Specifications  Once you approve of the design and the preliminary estimate, we start the construction drawings of your new home. We'll iron out  all the design details and make selections regarding doors, windows, hardware, cabinetry, lighting, etc.. We'll continue to receive your input and make sure that every last detail has been carefully thought out an implemented to your liking.
6. Construction Pricing/ Proposal SSDBUILD  will provide a very detailed and itemized construction proposal outlining each piece of the construction process.  This allows you to review the proposal and request specific changes, if need be, prior to signing the contract. It also creates much needed transparency allowing the client to know what exactly they are getting and what they are paying for.
7. Construction  Our Construction team is dedicated to building your home to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. We provide each client with excellent project management to make sure your construction project runs smoothly. We will provide you with weekly updates, meet with you as often as you choose, and provide you with interior design services.
